Kairos Timeline Applet

• Enter a start date and an end date in the boxes to the left and the right of the "Load" button respectively. Enter dates in BCE as negative numbers. The Kairos applet data file includes geological ages, so you can set dates in the millions and billions of years past and still get incidents displayed.
• Press the "Load" button if you have changed the dates. This makes a list of the events for the dates you have chosen.
• If you want to select by keyword, enter one in the keyword box. This accepts no logical operators, so it will display only those records which have the exact word or words you entered in either their label or their description.
• If there are any URLs listed for a particular incident, you can select them in the box at the bottom and then display the pages by pressing the "Go" button.
• Select any event from the list to display its description. A red line represents the date and the duration of the event in the area above the description.
