1 Corinthians 16

¹Regarding the collection for the saints, you should do the same thing as I commanded the churches in Galatia. ²Each week each of you should lay aside something of what you have earned, so that there doesn't have to be a collection when I come. ³When I come I will write letters for the messengers you choose to take the gift to Jerusalem. ⁴If it seems appropriate for me to go as well, they will go with me.

⁵But I am coming to you when I go through Macedonia. I am going through Macedonia, ⁶but I hope to stay with you for a little while and perhaps all winter, so that you can send me on my way wherever I go. ⁷For I don't want to see you briefly in passing; I hope to spend some time with you if the Lord permits. ⁸But I will stay in Ephesus until Pentecost. ⁹For a great and powerful door has been opened for me, and many are standing against me.

¹⁰But if Timothy comes, see that he has nothing to fear while he's with you. For he does God's works like I do. ¹¹Let no one disdain him, but send him on in peach, so that he can come to me, because I will wait for him with the brethren.

¹²Now concerning my brother Apollos, I have encouraged him many times to come to you with the brethren, but he is not willing now. He will come when he has the opportunity.

¹³Watch! Stand in the faith! Be courageous and strong! ¹⁴Let everything happen in a loving way.

¹⁵I encourage you, brothers and sisters--you know that the household of Stephanos was the pioneer in Achaia and devoted to service to the saints-- ¹⁶make yourselves subject to shuch leaders and to all who work hard together with you. ¹⁷I rejoice that Stephanos, Fortunatus and Achaicus have come, because they have filled in for your absence. ¹⁸They gave my spirit rest as well as yours. Take notice of such people!

¹⁹The congregations of Asia great you. Aquila and Pricilla and the whole congregation that meets at their house greet you. ²⁰All the brothers and sisters greet you. Greet one another with a holy kiss! ²¹This greeting is in my own handwriting--Paul. ²²If anyone does not love the Lord, let him be anathema! Maranatha (May the Lord come)! ²³May the grace of the Lord Jesus be with you. ²⁴My love is with everyone who belongs to Christ Jesus.
