1 Corinthians 16

1Regarding the collection for the saints, you should do the same thing as I commanded the churches in Galatia. 2Each week each of you should lay aside something of what you have earned, so that there doesn't have to be a collection when I come. 3When I come I will write letters for the messengers you choose to take the gift to Jerusalem. 4If it seems appropriate for me to go as well, they will go with me.

5But I am coming to you when I go through Macedonia. I am going through Macedonia, 6but I hope to stay with you for a little while and perhaps all winter, so that you can send me on my way wherever I go. 7For I don't want to see you briefly in passing; I hope to spend some time with you if the Lord permits. 8But I will stay in Ephesus until Pentecost. 9For a great and powerful door has been opened for me, and many are standing against me.

10But if Timothy comes, see that he has nothing to fear while he's with you. For he does God's works like I do. 11Let no one disdain him, but send him on in peach, so that he can come to me, because I will wait for him with the brethren.

12Now concerning my brother Apollos, I have encouraged him many times to come to you with the brethren, but he is not willing now. He will come when he has the opportunity.

13Watch! Stand in the faith! Be courageous and strong! 14Let everything happen in a loving way.

15I encourage you, brothers and sisters--you know that the household of Stephanos was the pioneer in Achaia and devoted to service to the saints-- 16make yourselves subject to shuch leaders and to all who work hard together with you. 17I rejoice that Stephanos, Fortunatus and Achaicus have come, because they have filled in for your absence. 18They gave my spirit rest as well as yours. Take notice of such people!

19The congregations of Asia great you. Aquila and Pricilla and the whole congregation that meets at their house greet you. 20All the brothers and sisters greet you. Greet one another with a holy kiss! 21This greeting is in my own handwriting--Paul. 22If anyone does not love the Lord, let him be anathema! Maranatha (May the Lord come)! 23May the grace of the Lord Jesus be with you. 24My love is with everyone who belongs to Christ Jesus.
