1 Corinthians 5

1It is heard generally that there is sexual immorality among you, and such sexual immorality as [is accepted] even among the gentiles, such that a certain one of you is engaging in a sexual relationship with his father's wife. 2And you, on your part, are puffed up with pride! You should rather have mourned so that the one who did committed such an act might be removed from your midst. 3Now I, for my part, though away from you in body but with you in spirit, have already judged the one who has done this. 4in the name of our Lord Jesus having gathered yourselves together along with my spirit with the power of our Lord Jesus, 5to give such a one to Satan for the destruction of the flesh, so that the spirit might be saved in the day of the Lord. 6Your boasting is not good. Don't you know that a little leaven leavens the entire loaf? 7Clean out the old leaven, so taht you might be a new loaf, just as you are unleavened {already}. For also our passover, Christ has been slain. 8So that we might celebrate the festival not in old leaven, nor in the leaven of evil and wickedness, but in unleavened simplicity and truth.

9I wrote to you in my letter not to mix together with fornicators, 10doubtless not with all the fornicators of this world or with the greedy or robbers or idolaters, since you would then need to exit from the world. 11But now I wrote {or have written}, to you not to mix together if anyone calls himself a brother and is a fornicator or greedy person or idolater or slanderer or drunkard or a thief, with such a one don't even eat! 12Why should I judge those outside? Is it not those inside we are to judge? 13And God judges those who are outside. "Take away from among yourselves the evil person."
