1 John 3 1Look at the type of love the Father has given us, that we can be called children of God! And we are! Because of this the world doesn't know us, because it didn't know him. 2Loved ones, now we are children of god, and it has not yet been revealed what we will be. We know taht when he appears, we will be like him, because we will see him just as he is. 3And everyone who has this hope in him purifies himself, just as that one is pure.
4Everyone who is committing sin also commits lawlessness, and sin is lawlessness. 5And you know that that one was revealed so he could take away sin, and there is no sin in him. 6Everyone who remains in him doesn't continue to sin. Everyone who is continuing to sin has neither seen him, nor does he know him. 7Children, don't let anyone deceive you. The one who acts righteously is righteous, just as that one is righteous. 8The one who continues to commit sin is of the devil, because the devil goes on sinning from the beginning. For this reason the Son of God was revealed: So that he could destroy the works of the devil. 9Everyone who has been born of God does not continue sinning, because his seen remains in him, and he cannot go on sinning, because he has been born of God. 10In this way it is clear who are children of God and children of the devil. Everyone who does not behave righteously is not of God, along with the one who does not love his brother.
11For this is the message which you heard from the beginning, that we should love one another. 12Not as Cain, who was of the evil one, and kileld his brother. Why did he kill him? Because his deeds were evil, and those of his brother were righteous. 13Now don't be amazed, brothers, if the world hates you. 14You know that we have been moved over from death into life, because we love the brothers. The one who does not love remains in death. 15Everyone who hates his brother is a murderer, and you know that no murder has eternal life remaining in him. 16In this we have come to know love, because that one [Jesus] gave his life for us, and we ought to give our lives for the brothers. 17Whoever has what is necessary for this earthly life, and sees his brother in need, and closes his sympathies away from him--how can the love of God remain in someone like that? 18Children, Let's not love just in talk or word, but in deed and in truth.
19Now in this way we know that we are of the truth, and we will convince our hearts before him. 20Because if our hearts condemn us, God is greater than our hearts, and knows all things. 21Loved ones, if our heart does not condemn us, we have boldness before god. 22And whatever we ask, we receive from him, because we keep his commandments and we do what is pleasing before him. 23And this is his command, that we should believe on the name of his Son Jesus Christ, and we should love one another, just as he commanded us. 24And the one who keeps his commandments remains in (Christ) and (Christ) in him. Now in this we know that he remains in us, because he gave us of his Spirit. Average revision: 3 (Draft # 1 by individual translator)
