Mark 3

1And he went in again into the synagogue. And there was a man there who had a paralyzed hand. 2And they watched him to see if he would heal him on the Sabbath, so that they could accuse him. 3And he said to the man who had the paralyzed hand, "Rise up in the middle!" 4And he said to them, "Is it lawful on Sabbath to do good or to do evil? To save life, or to kill? But they were silent. 5And he looked around with anger, grieved by the hardness of their hearts, he said to the man, "Stretch out your hand!" And he stretched it out and his hand was restored. 6And the Pharisees went out and immediately took counsel with the Herodians against him as to how they might destroy him.

7And Jesus went with his disciples toward the sea, and a great crowd from Galilea and Judea followed, 8and from Jerusalem and from Idumea and acros the Jordan and around Tyre and Sidon, a great crowd who hard what he was doing came to him. 9And he told his disciples to prepare him because of the crowd so that they might not trouble him. 10For he healed many, so that they were pressing in on him so that those who had afflictions might touch him. 11And the unclean spirits, whenever they saw him fell before him and cried out saying "You are the Son of God!" 12And he rebuked them my times so that they would not make him known.

13And he went up into the mountain and called those whom he wished, and they went to him. 14And he made twelve (who are called apostles) so that they might be with him so that he might send them out to proclaim. 15and to have authority to cast out demons 16and he made twelve, and he place a name on Simon Peter, 17and James the son of Zebedee and John the brother of James and he named them Boanerges, which is the sons of thunder. 18And Andrew and Philip, and Bartholomew and Matthew and Thomas and James the son of Alphaeus and Thaddeus and Simon the Canaanite 19and Judas Iscariot, who also betrayed him.

20And he came home (lit. into a house), and again the crowd gathered around him, so that it was impossible for him even to eat bread. 21And when those close to him heard him, they tried to seize him, for they said that he was out of his mind. 22And the scribes who had come down from Jerusalem said, "He has Beelzebl and that by the ruler of the demons he casts demons out." 23And summoning them he spoke to them in parables, "How can Satan throw Satan out? 24And if a kingdom is divided against itself, how can it stand? 25And if a household is divided against itself, that household will not be able to stand. 26And if Satan rises up against himself is divided, he will not be able to stand but he has an end. 27But nobody can enter the house of the strong man and steal his stuff unless he first binds the strongman and then he can rob his house. 28Truly I tell you that everything will be forgiven to people, the transgressions and the blasphemies that they may commit. 29But whoever blasphemes against the Holy Spirit, he will not have forgiveness ever, but he will be guilty of the eternal transgression." 30He said this because they said, "He has an unclean spirit."

31And his mother and his brothers came and were standing outside they sent word to him calling him. 32And a crowd sat around him, they said to him, "Look! Your mother and your brothers and your sisters are seeking you outside. 33And he answered them and said, "Who is my mothers and my brothers?" 34And he looked at those sitting around him and said, "Behold my mother and my brothers! 35For whoever does the will of God, he is my brother and my sister and my mother.
