Psalms 54

To the Leader, on stringed instruments,
a contemplation song of David
when the Ziphites went
and said to Saul,
is not David hiding among us.

¹Oh God, save me by your name,
and judge me according to your power.
²Oh God hear my prayer,
give ear to the words of my mouth.
³Because aliens have risen up against me,
and ruthless people have sought my life,
They do not put God before them. (Selah)
⁴Behold, God is a helper to me,
The Lord sustains my life.
⁵Let the evil turn back on my enemies,
In your truth exterminate them.
⁶For your generosity I will sacrifice to you,
I will praise your name YHWH, because it is good.
⁷Because you have saved me from all my trouble,
and I have seen the fall of my enemies.
