Revelation 12

1Now a great wonder appeared in heaven, a woman clothed with the sun, and the moon was under her feet, and upon her head was a wreath of twelve stars, 2and she was pregnant, and she cried out with her labor pains and was in severe distress to give birth. 3And another sign appeared in heaven, a great red dragon who had seven heads and ten horns, and on his heads were seven diadems, 4and his tail drew along a third of the stars in the heavens, and he threw them down to the earth. And the dragon stood before the woman who was about to give birth so he could consume her child, 5and she gave birth to a boy, who is about to rule all the nations with a rod of iron. And her child was snatched away before God, and before his throne. 6And the woman fled into the wilderness, where she has a place prepared for her by God, so that she might be nourished there 1260 days.

7And there was war in heaven, Michael and his angels were fighting against the dragon. And the dragon fought along with his angels, 8And there wasn't room for them in heaven any more.

9And the great dragon, that ancient snake, called the devil and Satan, who deceives the entire inhabited world, was thrown to the earth, and his angels were thrown out with him. 10And I heard a loud voice in heaven saying,
Now salvation and strength has come to pass,
and the kingdom of our God,
and the authority of his Messiah.
Because the accuser of our brethren has been cast down,
The one who was accusing them before God day and night. 11But they conquered him by means of the blood of the lamb,
and by means of the testimony they spoke,
And they did not love their lives even up to death. 12Because of this rejoice, Heavens!
and those who live there.
Woe to the earth and the sea,
Because the devil has come down to you,
Having an incredible rage,
knowing that he has only a little time.

13And when the dragon saw that he had been thrown to the earth, he pursued the woman who had borne the male child. 14But the woman was given two wings of a great eagle, so that she might fly into the desert where he place was, where he would be nourished for a time, and times and half a time from before the face of the snake. 15And the snake spewed out of his mouth water like a river, so that he might cause her to be carried away by the water. 16But the earth helped the woman, and opened its mouth and drank up the river which the dragon spewed out of his mouth. 17And the dragon was angry with the woman, and went away to make war with the rest of her seed, those who obey God's commands and give testimony about Jesus. 18And he stood on the sand of the sea.
