Revelation 8

The Seventh Seal

¹And when he opened the seventh seal, there was silence in heave for about half an hour. ²And I saw the seven angels who stand before God, and they were given seven trumpets.

³And another angle came and stood at the altar. He had a golden censer, and he was given lots of incense, so that he could offer it on the golden altar that is in front of the throne, with the prayers of all the saints. ⁴And the the incense smoke with the prayers of the saints went up out of the angel's hand before God. ⁵Then the angel took the censer and filled it with fire from the altar, and threw it to the earth. There were peals of thunder, voices, lightning bolts and an earthquake.

The Trumpets

⁶And the seven angels who had the seven trumpets prepared to sound them.

1st Trumpet

⁷And the first angel blew his trumpet, and there was hail and fire mixed with blood which ell to the earth, and a third of the earth was burned, and a third of the trees, and all the green grass.

2nd Trumpet

⁸And the second angel blew his trumpet, and something like a large mountain, burning with fire fell into the sea, and a third of the sea became blood, ⁹and a third of the creatures in the sea died, of those who were alive, and a third of the ships were destroyed.

3rd Trumpet

¹⁰And the third angel blew his trumpet, and a large star fell from heaven, burning like a torch. It fell on a third of the rivers and on the water springs. ¹¹And the star's name was Apsinthos (Wormwood/bitter). A third of the waters were turned bitter, and many people died because of the waters since they were made bitter.

4th Trumpet

¹²And the fourth angel blew his trumpet, and a third of the sun, and a third of the moon, and a third of the stars were struck, so that a third of them, and of the day might not shine with light, and likewise the night.

5th Trumpet

¹³And I looked, and I heard a lone eagle flying in mid-heaven, saying with a loud voice, "Woe! Woe! Woe! to those who live on the earth because of the rest of the trumpet-blasts of the three angels who are about to blow their trumpets."
