UTF8 Conversion under WordPress 2.5

I just converted a database for UTF8 using the UTF8 Database Converter.  It provides dire warnings about using it for versions after 2.2, but having made a complete backup, I decided to try it anyhow.  It worked beautifully.  The database I converted was for my wife’s blog, Jody Along the Path.

Now if I could just figure out why the problem only appeared long after I had passed 2.2.  I’m assuming it had something to do with the changes at my web host.  The garbage showed up after a switch of server.
