As is usual, I chose this site as the first guinea pig, and it is now upgraded. So far everything looks good. I follow the beta test chatter, and usually try to install the release candidates somewhere and play with them, but this is the first production install.

Update: It obviously worked. Simple Tags was the only plugin to complain so far. WordPress has gone to 2.6 beta, and I’m trying it here. Despite the dangers of beta software, I usually go ahead and work with it. Please have patience during the upgrade process.

Thus far it looks seamless and straightforward. I simply followed the directions! I’ll be upgrading some more difficult installations where I’ll be trying out some of the picture handling, and I’ll post more if it seems useful.
