Good Job Reuters

As a publisher (at Energion Publications) I am very conscious of the copyright wars and discussions about fair use.  Recently AP has raised quite a fuss.

But as WebProNews reports, Reuters is taking a much more constructive stance.  I personally hope they gain business from their more reasonable attitude.

At the same time, while I believe linking is valuable and appropriate and there should be fair use, many bloggers do push it by quote all of someone else’s post without adding any value.  “Fair use” is one of those concepts beloved by lawyers because they can litigate it forever, or so it appears to me.  A little bit more clarification of the principles would be helpful.
