Audacity Audio Software

I put out a couple of minor podcasts (Running Toward the Goal and Bible Pacesetter Podcast), and I’ve worked through a number of options for audio software. Recently I’ve started to use Audacity.

I’m not an audio expert. What I like about this software is that it’s open source and freely available, something I want to see grow and develop, and it is remarkably easy to use for the audio-challenged. I find it quite easy to put multiple tracks into the program (intro music, closing music, main program, announcements, and so forth), time them, fade them in and out as needed, and then do a quick mix (single command) with a resulting show. With all elements ready to go, it’s about a five minute process to get the audio file mixed and posted.

Check it out!
