I think one of the questions we should ask about politicians seeking office is whether they have a grasp of modern technology and its impact on society. By this I don’t mean that they can identify a few social media sites, but rather that they understand how these things work. Obviously, different skills are needed, but at the moment being clueless about tech is a serious negative.

I say all that to introduce a link to an article on FiveThirtyEight.com, Congress Needs to Understand Facebook before Dealing with It. Personally, I have no faith that they have the mental dexterity required.
