If sound is muted for YouTube videos in Chrome, you may need to Allow sound. In some cases, it may have been added to the list of blocked sites. In my case, sound didn’t work, but it was on neither list. I added it to the “Allowed” list (using [*].youtube.com, and it works.

As a result of this post, I’ve installed the Opera browser on my Ubuntu Linux machine (Feisty Fawn). I’ll post more on it later, but for now I am impressed with speed and ease of use. If it’s good enough, you may see an Opera button appear on the left sidebar.

I got this via e-mail alert from Barkly and thence to Bleeping Computer. Here’s the takeaway: What everyone should take away from this is that if you see a popup on a page stating that you need to download a Chrome Font Pack, you should immediately close the browser and not visit the site again….
